How do you feel?: There is a rough correlation between the findings on MRI scan and the degree of discomfort but it is only appropriate. Some people have minimal osteophyte formation and spinal stenosis with awful symptoms. For others it’s the opposite Check with your spinal or orthopedic surgeon to fully discuss

Ask surgeon: These are areas for your surgeon to assess, as he(she) knows your case the best. Postop pain is not necessarily a reason to despair. Rehabilitation with physical therapy may be useful to restore function successfully
