Dizzy : I wish I could be certain about this, but there is no way to be sure via this forum. With that being said you should go to the hospital it may have been a mini-stroke or serious heart condition

Concerning: Sounds like a TIA, or perhaps a lacunar stroke, and you do indeed possess risk factors. Contact your physician ASAP, as there indeed is distinct risk for further neurological events, and preventative meds are indicated.
