Unlikely: There has been copious discussion of COVID-19 virus surviving on various surfaces, and initially, was not clear regarding the extent of risk. It appears that tactile contact is well controlled with hand washing, and we have found that viral surface infections are quite unlikely. If one has contact with an acute active patient be very diligent with hygiene.

COVID transmission: The main mechanism of transmission for COVID 19 is droplets. However, one still can get infection by touching contaminated objects. Wash hands often with warm water & soap for at least 20 seconds. After hands are washed - turn off water using a paper towel to avoid contamination of clean skin. Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth unless hands have just been washed.
