Is 800 iu enough vitamin d3 in a supplement?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Maybe ?: For your age, and I assume average health, this would be the lowest amount to be recommended. Many patients require 1000-2000 iu daily. This will vary based upon body habitus and fat content. Start low and check serum levels in approximately 2-3 months. Aim for 50-70 ng/ml maximally, and titrate upwards or downwards based upon level.
