A week ago i ate a very spicy noodle soup. since then ive been having a mint or toothbrush taste in my mouth, sort of like a cooling sensation at random times. there is no pain but its bothersome to me. what could this be? should i be worried?

CAPSAICIN & NTs: One of the natural chemicals in spicy peppers is called capsaicin. Capsaicin binds to heat-sensing nerves, giving you hot sensation by signaling chemicals called neurotransmitters (NTs). Usually, it takes a long-term exposure to "run out" of NTs but the responsible NTs may be temporarily depleted, and the opposite, "cold" sensation could be felt. Lay off on spicy food. It should disappear soon.
