Have her checked!!: She may in fact gasping for air. Many babies are born with tongue-tie more or less, and have difficulties using the tongue properly. Find an airway specialist in your area of South Africa to see if your baby has this problem. Myofunctional therapists, if you have some in your area, may be able to refer her to proper specialists. Allergies can also block the nose. Mouth breathing is never ideal!
