What would have been the reason for severe waist pains & pains around the left side of my groin?

Doctor can evaluate: There are many causes of pain in the left lower abdomen and groin, such as bowel problems, an infection, or cancer. A primary care doctor can evaluate if the pain is mild. Severe pain is an urgent problem unless it is a known problem already being cared for by the doctor. With severe pain, one may need evaluation at the er, plus urine tests, blood tests, and perhaps ct and/or ultrasound scanning.
