Kidney stones?: what you are describing may be renal colic. This type of pain comes in waves as the ureter (tube connecting kidney to bladder) is trying to pass a kidney stone in a rhythmic peristaltic motion. It may start higher in your flank and progress to waist and eventually down to groin area. Have your doctor check your urine. An abdominal X-ray or ct may prove you have kidney stones. Good luck.
