HSV Prophylaxis: Valtrex is the only medication approved for Prophylaxis to prevent Herpes Simplex 1 & 2 transmission. It is typically used when one partner is HSV positive and the other partner would like to prevent transmission. Talk to your Dr (via telemedicine or in person) about your health and whether this prophylaxis would be useful in preventing Herpes Infection.
