Similar symptoms: A person experiencing a panic attack may experience similar symptoms to a person experiencing a heart attack, shortness of breath, chest pain/ pressure, etc and the examiner has to rule out a possible life threatening event by running tests. Follow up and treatment to stabilize the anxiety/panic disorder becomes critical in reducing the number of panic attacks.
