I have a breathing sensor for my 9 month old baby that has been going off irregularly lately (not every day) when i go in to check he is fine. should i take him to get checked out or should the device sensitivity be checked?

Airway check: What does the sensor check to alert you? Without knowing it's hard to answer, but concerning... Has he been checked for the proper tongue function? Is he breathing through nose? Month-breathing is bad for his proper facial growth and sleep. See a myofunctional therapist/a dentist or physician trained in airway health. Tongue-tie is common yet often missed. Proper tongue position is critical!

Breathing: It depends on what type of sensor it is. It may be that your baby is getting more active and the sensors are going off due to that. If your baby looks fine- good color, breathing normally, responding as usual to you- that's a good sign that he isn't actually having a breathing problem. Check with your doctor so they can make sure the sensitivity is set correctly for his age and activity.
