Can ankylosing spondylitis progress rapidly? went from a linear progression of symptoms to exponential. my diaphragm & sternum hurt slightly & difficult to take a deep breath. its not def as but def spondyloarthritis- further testing mri etc?

AS: When we think of AS we think of it as a males' disease, but it occurs in women and women tend to have more neck and peripheral joint involvement. However, I'm uncertain of rib cage involvement. A rheumatologist would be best to consult for evaluation, testing,treatment and follow-up care.
