See you DR: Any headache accompanied by lasting vision loss should be thoroughly investigated. Talk to your Eye Dr about the vision changes and your GP about the headaches and painful lumps. It could be swollen lymph nodes indicating some kind of infection or it could be something more serious.

Get evaluated: It is not feasible based on information provided to pin down an appropriate explanation, but the bad headaches need to be addressed, and the loss of vision requires a focused evaluation. A neurological consultation would be an excellent place to start.
