COVID 19 concerns: No specific medications are required for COVID 19 positive patients. Antibiotics are used to treat bacterial infections. COVID 19 is a viral infection. Thus, antibiotics usually are not indicated.

Go to ER....: If you have shortness of breath, especially if it is worsening, you need to go right away to the nearest emergency room. If your symptoms are due to COVID, you may be a candidate for anti-viral treatment (not antibiotic treatment-this is for bacterial infections). If you don’t have COVID, you need to be seen to find out why you are short of breath and to treat it. Best of luck to you!
