I just took a very hard fall on my left hip in my home i could not catch myself and i went down hard on the left side of my hip. i just need some advice on whether to go to the emergency or wait till monday to see my doctor?

Urgent care center: Do you have an urgent care center close to you? An urgent care with X-ray should be able to take care of you. If you happen to have a hip fracture, it is absolutely vital to be taken care of quickly and not wait.

Hip fracture: If it hurts and you cannot get off floor call 911. Do video consult with our team here. But best to go to walk in clinic where they can examine and do x-rays. If you can walk do not need to go to ER but hard to tell without an x-Ray.

Reason?: Beside the status of your hip, why did you fall? Can you move your leg and pull your knee up and or extend your leg? Is there swelling in the area or bruising, have you fallen before? If movement is limited or painful and if swelling or bruising present may want to get checked as well as look into why you fell if you are not sure. Protect yourself first.
