Throat spasms: If what you mean by throat spasms is that you have vocal fold dysfunction, the answer is no. This is treated with a specialized type of speech therapy that is usually quite successful. If you have muscle tension dysphonia, it is unlikely that this would help to a large degree, and certainly would only be temporary. Both of these conditions should be diagnosed by an ENT who can direct you based on his or her examination.
