Don't worry...: Fever by itself is not anything to be feared. It is just a symptom. It shows his body has recognized the vaccine and is preparing a robust immune response. It can last 3-5 days after a vaccine. If that is his only symptom, he's eating fine, then just let it be. Give plenty of fluids, and monitor. If fever lasts more than 5 days, or if any other symptoms develop,then warrants further evaluation

Fever control: The vaccine reaction is typically up to 48 hours. He may have a viral or bacterial illness. If he appears otherwise well, provide fluids and fever control, but schedule an appointment to be seen. If he develops rash, lethargy, respiratory problems, please see the Emergency room. Watch for swelling and red eyes with prolonged fever as signs of Kawasaki disease.
