A member asked:

I sweat in my chest area mainly at night so much that my shirt gets wet. it is going on for over a year or longer now. what could it be? could it possibly be due to acid reflux?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Night sweats: Unless the sweats are caused by very warm environment or wearing of too much bed clothing, night sweats warrant an investigation by a physician. Do you have fevers or any other symptoms such as cough, weight loss, swollen lymph nodes, new pain? I don't think reflux is the cause. Some causes are low testosterone levels, taking aspirin,Tylenol, ibuprofen type meds at night, pain meds, sleep apnea
