Hard to say: In the USA these are available over the counter through variety stores/pharmacies. How they are sold in your country is not information we have. Whether or not you can have your insurer or health plan cover the cost is also unknown to us.

Pulse Ox: Agree with earlier response. Pulse Oximeters can be purchased in drug stores in the US and are readily available on-line. I don't know if the situation is the same in South Africa.
