Needs evaluation : This is not a normal or self resolving process. Bloody urine suggests injury to the structures of the penis/bladder or higher up. I have seen it in preschoolers from foreign objects placed in the pee hole, but there are many other possibilities. Red urine may also not be blood. You need to have him evaluated to sort it out.

Hematuria: Needs to be evaluated with kidney and bladder ultrasound to rule kidney tumor or stone. Young children can develop a kidney cancer known as Wilms tumor. Fortunately curable in most cases if found & treated early enough. Minor bleeding at end of voiding with or without drops of blood at end can be due to benign urethritis. Please get it checked out medically.
