I have just eaten one raw chestnut by mistake. i was then informed by my wife it needed cooked first. i tried bringing it up but no luck. is this a danger to me as i read it is poisonous raw. should i seek medical attention , thanks for any help?

Poison center: Call your local poison center or health department for assistance. Raw chestnuts can cause upset stomach. Depending on how much you ate, you may be able to weather it through. If you develop vomiting diarrhea, dizziness or change in consciousness, it would be prudent to see a doctor or go to local hospital. Wish you good health!
