Good morning, dr. today is my elder daughter's 10th day in isolation and tomorrow it's my 8 year old 10th day in isolation. what is the procedure for them to come out of their room? any precautions? and, is it 10 or 14 days in isolation?

? local issue?: In the USA the CDC has reduced the recommended isolation period to 10 days. Whether or not this complies with what officials require in your country is not clear. I would let them out.

Local health dept: The guidelines indicate that day 14 or three days without fever or symptoms, whichever is longer is standard for COVID 19 isolation. Watch for recurrence of symptoms, offer fluids, rest and Tylenol for fever. Your local health department may have additional information.
