I am having to shield at the moment due to my type 1 diabetes and not having a thyroid. my wife is a nurse and currently doing all the covid vaccine clinics. should she stop doing this, and shield with me to be on the safe side?

Yes: Please see my previous response to you. If you have conditions putting you at risk, it would be best if she is not exposed. Alternative option, if possible, is to isolate away from her within your household, although that can be a difficult task to do. Together you need to decide what options are best for your particular situation. Perhaps she could work in non-Covid area?
