Dehydration: Lactic acid buildup requires additional fluids to flush them out. If you have indigestion, there is a good chance that you are also dehydrated. Dehydration can cause lactic acid to remain in muscle tissue for longer than normal causing muscle burning. Drink at least 3 liters of fluids daily and add electrolytes when working out.
