A member asked:

Are flat t waves the same as qt interval prolongation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The two items you mention on an EKG (ECG) are not at all the same or even similar. Flattened t-waves are referring to the amplitude of the actual t-wave, whereas the QT interval is a period of time between two occurrences on the EKG. It is measured in time increments, where the flattened t-waves are measured in height. Ask physician to explain significance of these findings for you, if any.
