What is the cause of teratozoospermia?

Abnormal Sperm: In most cases, it is unknown, although it has been associated with crohns, celiac, and hodgkin's diseases. As you age, sperm are more likely to be abnormal. It is sometimes treated with anti-estrogen medications, vitamins, and chinese medicine. Pregnancy usually requires sperm retrieval and injection directly into the egg.

Not known: Specific causes of teratozoospermia are not yet known. Other possible causes are the following: 1. Age 2. Acrosomal defects 3. Idiopathic oligospermia.
