A member asked:

Can you get pregnant after having a bilateral salpingectomy?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Tube removal ?'s: If it was documented in the pathology report that both fallopian tubes were in fact removed, pregnancy would be virtually not possible. Technically, it may be a statistical anomaly, but recanalization of the intrauterine segment of either tube may enable a pregnancy, but this would be a very rare circumstance. An abdominal (non-intrauterine) pregnancy might also occur rarely.
