A member asked:

What are symptoms and treatment for chordomas and chondrosarcomas in the skull-base,? how long do they take to get noticed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Both are slowgrowing: Chordomas are very slow growing lesions but can experience early symptoms by the mass causing pressure on cranial nerves which exit from the skull base and can be worrisome. Based on the size, can vary from headache, runny nose/nose bleeding, facial numbness/tingling, vision changes (double vision), can be worse if too close to brainstem and optic apparatus.
