A member asked:

Do we need to cure thick endometrium caused by pcos differently or just controlling pcos will be enough?

Cure ?: The endometrium increases & decreases in thickness within a pattern triggered by natural estrogen. When menses occurs it breaks down & returns to baseline, only to start over. Endometrium is the natural receptive tissue for a fertilized egg that would allow/support a pregnancy. Irregular cycles can result in excessive thickening, but it resolves naturally or doc can give meds to cause menses.

See below: Menstrual irregularities is one of the the most frequent symptoms noted in women with PCOS. Endometrial thickening is triggered by an excessive estrogen, however, whose activity is actually suppressed in individuals with PCOS. Mainstay of therapy of PCOS is therefore ovarian suppression with contraceptive containing nonandrogenic progestin.
