Need to examine: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your medication may be the explanation for mild elevation of ALT. Do not take alcohol, or Tylenol. If you are overweight, lose weight. Wish you good health!

High alt: Your elevated ALT level could be due to a fatty liver and/or excess alcohol intake. There are several rarer causes. Viral hepatitis usually also affects AST. A gastroenterologist can evaluate and advise you. An ultrasound of the liver most likely will be ordered.
