Hi i have a 4 day old baby. his eyes are a little bit yellow and he is constipated the last time he went out was monday night. i was exclusively breastfeeding then on tuesday decided to give him a bottle. do i take him to a pediatrician?

Jaundice: Keep breastfeeding your baby! This is the best way to help clearing any excess yellowness and to help bowel movements along. Because he is so young, going to see the pediatrician for a weight check and examination is a good idea. Good luck and congratulations on your new baby.

YES,see pediatrician: Your child is not constipated. He has not pooped because he's not getting enough breast milk to make poop. Also sounds like he has developed jaundice if his eyes are yellow. You need to see pediatrician FIRST THING in the morning so a bilirubin level can be checked, he can be weighed, and decide if anything else need be done. Tonight only, nurse him first and then offer him formula after nursing
