Yes: You may opt to have a c-section. That is certainly your choice. Some women do it for convenience of knowing when exactly the baby will be born, others do it to avoid the pain of natural childbirth, and others for every reason in between. Keep in mind, once you have a c-section, your OB may recommend you have a c-section for future births.

Yes: You may need to interview several obstetricians, but there are areas of the us where there is a growing tolerance for cesarean on request. The procedure has known risks that are not the same as a vaginal birth, so you need to talk in detail with the doc offering you this option. Some consider cesarean safer for baby and riskier for mom.
