Cyst vs abscess: There are a variety of infective agents that can cause an infection in the Genital Labia. Many of the smaller infections (cysts) will go away without treatment. Try applying warm compresses or sitting in a shallow tub of warm to hot water with epsom salts. This allows the cysts to open up and drain. Larger cysts (abscess) may need antibiotics or incision and drainage procedure to remove.
