Complex question: Firstly no-one should have had 30 operations, even for classical bladder exstrophy. Cloacal exstrophy is much more difficult to treat. Secondly, depends upon what kind of stoma! is it skin stoma from an appendico-vesicostomy (catheterizable appendix or bowel channel to drain bladder) or bowel stoma draining into urine bag? Almost all can be corrected by an expert pediatric urologist w experience.
