A member asked:

Is there any new research on best frequency to screen for brain aneurysms with family hx? i have two second degree relatives that died young from them on my dads side. ive been scanned twice with normal result. is once every 10 yrs enough?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Brain aneurysms: Brain aneurysms with a family history are usually congenital berry aneurysms and are present at birth. If you have had prior normal studies, it is highly unlikely that you do have an aneurysm. There are no clearcut perfect protocols here, so work with your current doctors, but your description sounds positive.
