Is migraine curable?

Depends: Migraines are usually due to some aggravating factor in most people. A lot of people as they grow older stop having migraines. If you have very specific triggers for migraines, then avoiding them can keep the migraines at bay. Based on the triggers, if you can cure the trigger then migraine can be cured but for most people they tend to grow out of it.

Great question: Migraine is genetic problem with unstable neurotransmitters susceptible to multiple triggers. We have excellent preventatives, and understand underlying mechanisms. The cure lies in restoring appropriate balance in brain chemicals and maintaining such--something at this point in its infancy. But keep faith, as I suspect a medical food will emerge in future (see Petadolex)
