Ive been on vagifem and nightly antibiotics for uti for several years. i now use vagifem twice a week but uti has come back. ive got rid of it with a course of antibiotics but is it safe to increase vagifem to 3/4 times a week permanently?

Estrogen alone ?'s: Vagifem is an estrogen preparation, and increasing the dosage will contribute significantly to adverse potential effects such as clotting and/or uterine cancer. Using more frequent Vagifem will not prevent UTI's. Ask your gyn for a referral to a urologist, to address more common treatments for UTI's .
