Breast pain: Nexplanon is an excellent long-acting reversible form of contraception. One of the side effects of Nexplanon is breast tenderness. Even so, it is best to go to your obgyn provider for an appointment for an evaluation. An evaluation includes history, physical exam possibly labs and/or radiological studies. All other possibilities need to be excluded.
