White spots: White spots in the throat can occur with a strep infection, mononucleosis, thrush and tonsillitis Oral treatment is available to treat thrush and antibiotics are needed to treat strep. Throat culture diagnoses strep and blood tests diagnose mono. Your MD can order these tests. Call for instructions. I don't believe that a covid 19 infection causes white spots in the throat.

Spots on throat: Those white spots can be from a variety of causes. If you develop really marked pain of throat with redness & swelling of tonsils and possibly swollen, tender lymph nodes- then a concurrent case of Strep throat should be ruled out.
