Yeast infection?: Policresulin (Albothyl) is not a standard treatment for vaginal infection. You don't say what kind of infection your doctor was trying to treat. Yeast infection is the main cause of vaginal itching, but there are no reports in the medical literature of its use against yeast. Great if your symptoms clear up, but if not, recheck with your doctor or perhaps get a second opinion. Good luck.
