A member asked:

I have this pink little flesh thing hanging out of my vagina hole but its not extremely big but it makes me uncomfortable to pee and always causes me utis. i dont know what to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Vaginal tissue ?'s: "Pink tissue" seen at the orifice of the vagina is probably just redundant mucosal tissue, which may partially cover the urethra, but in an of itself will not "cause UTI's". See your gyn physician for an exam and ask about a possible referral to a gyn urologist if UTI's persist. Most chronic UTI's are caused by urethral sites of bacterial accumulation which contaminate the bladder.
