Emergency pill: It is not uncommon to have irregular menstrual bleeding pattern after taking emergency pill. If ever there is a concern of pregnancy ( emergency pill failure) then pregnancy tests are needed. Take care.

"Plan B" ?'s: Some slight bleeding may commonly occur with ovulation secondary to withdrawal bleeding from the drop in estrogen, just prior to ovulation. Using the "emergency pill" contains estrogen, and when it "wears off" in a couple days, bleeding occurs similar to stopping of estrogen just before ovulation and before onset of menses. If your period is late, get a serum HCG test for pregnancy.

Agree with Dr. K: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon after Plan B. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.
