Need evaluation: to determine the reason for your heavy bleeding with clots. Implantation bleeding is usually only a few drops of blood. If you have had unprotected sexual intercourse, you should be evaluated for sexually transmitted diseases (STD), which can cause changes in menstrual bleeding. Pregnancy (chemical or otherwise) is much less likely, but can do pregnancy test to be sure.
