Schizophrenia: I wish that was a "cure" for schizophrenia & a guarantee that any 1 specific treatment would lead to an absence of symptoms. Antipsychotic medications are indicated & antidepressants may be needed for co occurring depression. Psychoeducation for the patient & family is important as is psychotherapy (such as cognitive behavioral therapy), a strong support system & a community based treatment team
