Inflammation: Sounds like you are having inflammation of the Achilles tendon. You can apply heat packs, do stretching exercises, apply local anti-inflammatory creams. Also make sure you have proper foot wear. Stretch before you run. If pain persists you can see a podiatrist ( foot doctor)
