Arthritis: There are various causes of arthritis. Osteoarthritis is one type, is due to wear and tear and thus seen in older people. Other types of arthritis are rheumatoid, psoriatic, lupus, gout for example. Arthritis is a general term for inflammation of a joint or multiple joints.
