Yes: It is possible to have osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. I'd see a rheumatologist for evaluation.

Possible: It is possible to have both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis at the same time.Your knee may be affected by rheumatoid arthritis but your spine may have degenerative changes. Clinical findings in RA differ enough from osteoarthritis that the diagnosis is usually readily made. Most people with aging have osteoarthritis. Ra is systemic autoimmune disease affecting multiple small and large jts.
