Last week tuesday (3 november) i woke up feeling lethargic and a bad cough. have felt better although cough hasnt gone away. been taking solphyllex but nothing has come right. should i get test for covid19?

COVID 19 concerns: In South Africa- one consults with a medical provider who will determine need for COVID 19 test. Consult your local primary care provider or you can use telemedicine for individual consultations. Suspicion for COVID 19 is higher if you have at least 2 of these symptoms: temp of at least 99.6, Cough, Shortness of breath, Chills, Shivering, Muscle pain, Headache, Sore throat or new loss of taste

Yes: The test may still be positive for the virus, but if it is negative, then a Serologic test to detect antibodies may be performed to show a past infection. Rest, drink fluids and monitor for fever and respiratory distress.
