Preauricular pit: A small hole next to the front of your ear is called a preauricular pit and leads to a small sinus (like a tunnel). The only issue is that the sinus tract can become infected. If this occurs see your doctor. Otherwise, it is a normal occurrence that is harmless in itself.

N0: It is not normal to have a hole in your skin near your ear, unless it is a hole made for an ear-ring. You should have a physician look at it.
