Ear infection/fluid: Your PCP would be best to answer that question. From your description, the ear drum is bulging due to fluid/infected fluid behind the ear drum. If you have any signs of infection, an antibiotic may be added to your medications. For pain relief, use Motrin, a warm compress and if there is no response, please see your PCP.
